Coronavirus In Boulder County Stores Jan. 20: 1 Outbreak Reported

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — While neighboring counties have each reported dozens of outbreaks at stores this week, Boulder County has only reported one ongoing retail outbreak — the Whole Foods Market, at 2905 Pearl Street, has reported that 26 employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to state public health data. Over the past week, no new cases have been reported at the store.

Some outbreaks have lasted more than a month since they were first detected. The Whole Foods outbreak in Boulder was first reported Nov. 23, the data shows.

More than a dozen stores in Denver have reported outbreaks this week.

If you're concerned about contracting the virus and grocery delivery services aren't an option for you, washing your hands as frequently as possible, social distancing and wearing a mask will go a long way in protecting you, health officials said.

Also, try to shop at a time when you aren't in a rush — it may take longer to get around while you're trying to stay as far away from others as possible.
