- Gunman killed in shooting spree, leaves five dead in Denver and Lakewood. According to police, the suspect shot targeted victims, and has been identified as 47-year-old Lyndon James Mcleod. He died after an exchange of gunfire with a Lakewood Police Department officer in the Belmar Shopping District. (CO Sun)
- Suspect identified in CU Boulder grass fire. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office identified the woman suspected of starting a grass fire in Boulder as 31-year-old Rain Hanuman. She faces charges of reckless endangerment and arson. (CBS4)
- Colorado's quantum ecosystem is set to jump ahead in 2022. Recent merger with Cambridge Quantum created a 400-person company with nearly $300 million in new investment. The newly created company, Quantinuum, will be headquartered in Broomfield, CO. (Business Journal)
- Louisville disposable 25¢ bag tax to goes into effect Saturday. The new bag tax was approved by Louisville voters in 2020, with the hope of minimizing single-use bag consumption within the community. (Yahoo)
- Boulder County COVID-19 testing sites see surge in demand. Traffic has skyrocketed at the county's mass testing site at the county fairgrounds as demand has increased by 238%. Additionally, there has been a 44% increase in the average number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Boulder County since Monday, Dec. 20. (9News)
