Friday Smoke, Pollution Forecast For Metro Denver, Boulder
Public health officials have released an air quality forecast for the Front Range.

Air quality in metro Denver and Boulder improved Thursday afternoon; however more smoke is expected to flow into the region on Friday as Colorado, Wyoming and California wildfires intensify.
Fine particulate matter concentrations from the smoke are expected to be in the 'moderate' to 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' category on Friday along the Front Range, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
"Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion," the agency said in an air quality advisory.

Visibility along the Front Range is expected to be in the 'poor' to 'moderate' categories Friday, public health officials said.
"Areas of moderate to heavy smoke will continue for locations in central and western Larimer County near the Cameron Peak wildfire," the advisory read.

Ozone concentrations in metro Denver and Boulder are expected to be in the 'good' category.

Carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide levels are also expected to remain in the 'good' category on Friday, health officials said.
