  1. City of Boulder moving toward pilot program for Guaranteed Income. The city is proposing a pilot program that would start this year and run through 2024. The assistance wouldn't include normal restrictions on public money, but allow recipients the freedom to put the money toward whatever they need most, providing a regular cash payment to low-income residents.   2. Governor Polis announces he's running for a second term. Polis and his running mate, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, launched their re-election campaign in Pueblo on Tuesday. (Patch)
  3. College students struggle with food insecurity. With with food prices nationwide jumping 6.3 percent in 2021, several thousand MSU Denver students are faced with food-insecurity. "The U.S. Department of Agriculture defines food insecurity as having 'limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.'"(RED)
  4. Fewer people moved to Colorado in 2021. Overall population growth in Colorado has slowed, too. Net migration, a slowdown in births and an increase in people dying are contributing to a decrease in population growth as well. (9News)
  5. Boulder's Mask Mandate To End Friday. Boulder is the latest county to announce that it is rescinding its mask mandates as COVID-19 levels are trending down. (Patch)
