Here are the five top stories today in Boulder:

  1. Home prices keep going up. Northern Colorado home prices continued their trajectory upward in April and most cities, like Boulder and Longmont, are at record highs. Fueling the price increases are high demand and low inventory. (CO Daily)
  2. 911 dispatcher coaches parents over the phone to bring baby back to life. A Boulder County 911 dispatcher has been given an award for saving a life after helping the parents of a newborn baby perform CPR over the phone. (CBS4)
  3. Boulder parks and Recreation's scavenger hunt includes historic locations. The self-guided scavenger hunt features eight historic sites across the city. Stops to search for clues include Chautauqua, Columbia Cemetery, the Glen Huntington Bandshell and the Platt Farmhouse. The scavenger hunt continues through May 23. (CO Daily)
  4. Those happy green summer lawns are likely to fade fast. Did you know that 60 percent of metro Denver's summer water use is devoted to outdoor use? Turns out, that means mostly watering grass. With long-term droughts becoming the new normal in Colorado, the call for change is growing louder. (CBS4)
  5. Colorado Springs is dreaming of a rail future. Not unlike Boulder, Colorado Springs is hoping for a train connection, someday. (CPR)
