Injured Hiker Rescued Near Brainard Lake

Crews rescued an injured man on a Boulder County trail, officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A hiker was rescued Sunday near Brainard Lake in Boulder County, officials said. Rescue crews were called to the lake just before 8 p.m.

Personnel from the Indian Peaks Fire Department and Rocky Mountain Rescue Group used a snowmobile and utility task vehicle to rescue the hiker, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.

He was then taken to Boulder Community Hospital for treatment.

The nature of the man's injuries was not known.
