  1. Boulder County has fewer active oil wells in 2021. 40 wells were plugged and abandoned in 2021, 25 of those were on county open space or lands with county conservation easement protections – leaving Boulder County with just a smidge over 200 active wells. (BOCO)
  2. Memorial for the 30 people experiencing homelessness that died this year. Feet Forward, Boulder Bridge House, the Boulder Human Rights Commission hosted the annual remembrance at the Central Park Bandshell on Tuesday. (CO Daily)
  3. Drug stores rationing at-home COVID-19 test kits in Colorado. Walgreens and CVS announced yesterday that they will be limiting the number of at-home COVID-19 tests customers can purchase at a time. (Patch)
  4. Boulder company wants to help kids build better worlds in the metaverse. Bitsbox is an online playground, where kids can build 3D virtual worlds. (7News)
  5. Scientists search for life on top of the world's highest volcano. Ojos del Salado stands 22,615 feet above the Argentina-Chile border in the Andes mountains. It's the highest active volcano on Earth, and CU scientists are looking into what Mars used to look like. (9News)
