- Boulder Library Foundation gets $700 million grant. Colorado Health Foundation has supplied the necessary gap funding that will provide the resources needed to complete the North Boulder Library at Broadway and Violet Avenue. The grant funds will help pay for a playground, learning garden, outdoor makers space and civic plaza. Construction of the new facility is set to begin in January and is expected to take about a year to complete. (Yahoo!)
- Remembering Colorado's most destructive wildfire. A year after Colorado's most destructive fire, this group of 9News stories examine where the fire went, what the fire destroyed and what we've learned in the ensuing 12 months. (9News)
- Colorado's backcountry has too many hikers leaving their poo behind. Figuring out how to keep hikers from leaving their poop behind has outdoor recreation groups jumping into action by handing out poop-disposal kits. The problem has spured Crested Butte resident to develop new concept to bury it. (CO Sun)
- Metro Denver rents are increasing faster than national rate. The most recent figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor provide a snapshot of the huge increases that renters are having to pay. On a positive note, the U.S. inflation rates are cooling off. In November, the Consumer Price Index had risen more than 7 percent from the previous year. (KDVR)

Boulder County ARPA study results. Public input was sought on top issues facing county residents. The top issues identified were: Affordable housing, economic impacts, mental health and social resilience. The greatest impacts and needs in the community are related to the general cost of living and the possibility to afford permanent housing in a sustainable way for families, neighborhoods, and the environment.
