Here are the top stories in Boulder today:

  1. The City of Louisville moves to ban new gas stations and has a plan to make it permanent. Last Tuesday, without any fanfare, the Louisville Town Council voted 5-2 on an emergency ordinance that put in place a temporary moratorium for any new gas stations. There's also a petition being circulated that would make the ban permanent. Is Boulder next? (Complete CO)
  2. Housing doesn't come cheap or easy in Boulder. Developers hope to build market rate and affordable for sale condos near Spruce and Folsom, but it's taken a year to revise the plan, and they are still a long way off. (Reporting Lab)
  3. Are you ready to ride? Here's the list of the ski areas that are open so far in Colorado. While there's a few ski areas that opened in October, most are opening in the next few weeks and into early December. Breckenridge opened yesterday, two days earlier than expected. (CPR)
  4. It's official. Magic Mushrooms are legal in Colorado. Ten years ago, weed was legalized, now Colorado is second state in the U.S. to legalize the use of psilocybin mushrooms. Proposition 122 received 51 percent of the statewide vote. (CO Sun)
  5. There really is a free lunch. Well, at least if you're a school-aged student. It appears that Colorado voters have passed Proposition FF, which will provide free school meals to every public school student across the state. (CPR)
