Man Tries To Run Girlfriend Over; Arrested For Murder: Police
After his girlfriend escaped the car during an assault, man allegedly attempts to run her over with his car.

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder police have arrested a man with a charge of first-degree murder after he allegedly attempted to run his girlfriend over with a car, according to a press release from the City of Boulder Police department. Alejandro Morales-Ibarra, age 21, was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon and is being held on multiple charges related to the incident.
On Wednesday, Dec. 12., at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to a call about a car that had crashed into a business on north 28th St. Police were able to determine that leading up to the crash the man was in the passenger seat of the vehicle assaulting his girlfriend while she was driving.
The victim was able to pull over and ran into the business for help. At that point, Morales jumped in the driver’s seat and attempted to run her over. He just missed hitting her and struck a parked vehicle.

Morales is being held at the Boulder County Jail on charges of attempted first degree murder, first degree kidnapping, second degree assault, criminal mischief, criminal attempt, reckless endangerment and domestic violence.
