Meet Ember, The Kitten Who Stole Hearts At Berthoud Fire
The kitten who was rescued from a tree by firefighters at Berthoud's Station 1 officially has a name.

BERTHOUD, CO — The stray kitten who found her forever home with members of Berthoud Fire’s Station 1 now has a name. Ember was introduced by her new family on Facebook earlier this week.
“She is a sweetheart and a survivor!” Berthoud Fire said in the post. “She is healthy, happy, and her life will be one of purpose as she helps us share fire safety messages with our community. Ember represents Berthoud Fire's heart to rescue.”
Last week, firefighters discovered Ember stuck in a tree after they heard sounds coming from behind the station. It's uncertain how long she was in the tree, but firefighters were able to safely get her down and into the station to be checked out.

After evaluation, it was determined Ember was a stray and malnourished. Regardless, she had already made her way into the hearts of Station 1, and she was adopted into the Berthoud Fire family.
