Here are the top stories in Boulder today:
- Tests discover high methamphetamine levels in Library restroom ventilation ducts. The Main Library has been closed as part of a program of environmental testing. Methamphetamine residue was found in the air ducts in the bathrooms in the Library. It is unclear how long the closure will last. (FOX31)
- Winds stoke wildfire near Mount Sanitas. The wildfire, which was reported Monday afternoon, started with a structure fire and was fanned by wind gusts of 40 mph. Boulder County Sheriff's Office issued a mandatory evacuation order around where the fire was burning near the 2900 block of Sunshine Canyon Drive. (CO Sun)
- Boulder police catch speeder going 103 mph. Officers recently clocked a driver going 103 mph in a 60 mph zone – that's more than 40 mph over the speed limit. (FOX31)
- Colorado had one of the highest voter turnouts in U.S. last November. According to the Colorado's Secretary of State, Colorado had one of the highest voter turnouts in the 2022 midterm elections. Of those registered to vote, 58.5 percent in the state voted, compared to the national average of 46.8%. A large majority of those that voted used mail ballots. (CO Newsline)
