Missing Man Found In Boulder County After Drone Search

BOULDER, CO — A missing 24-year-old Oregon man was found Thursday by search crews and drones, authorities said. The Boulder Police Department received a call from the man's mother, who said he may be near Settler's Park, off Boulder Canyon Drive. She was worried that her son may suicidal, police said.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office Deputies worked with Rocky Mountain Rescue, the Boulder Emergency Squad, Boulder County Emergency Services and the Boulder Police Department to search the area.

The crews launched drones to help with their search. The technology helped crews find the man, who was hiding behind a tree, Boulder police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

No charges were pending in the case, police said.
