Here are the top five stories today in Boulder:

  1. Police investigating theft of human heads. We know crime is up in Denver, but thieves probably got more than they expected when they opened up a box they'd stolen that was labeled 'Exempt Human Specimen.' The box of human heads was stolen from a truck parked in a Central Park neighborhood last week. (9News)
  2. Boulder set to build new fire station. The Boulder Fire-Rescue Station No. 3 will be relocated to 30th Street, south of Valmont Road. As designed, the new building will be two stories in height and 28,370 square feet. (Yahoo)
  3. Chief Of RTD Police announces resignation. The resignation comes as RTD's ability to secure the agency's transportation network has come under scrutiny over the past six months.
