Owl Freed From Soccer Net By Boulder Animal Control [WATCH]
An angry owl got itself into a predicament in Boulder and was not happy when officers tried to cut it free.

BOULDER, CO -- "Yeah, he's got some big talons there," said a nervous officer as an angry owl snapped its beak. Boulder Police animal rescue officers captured themselves and the owl on video as they rescued the feathered creature who was hopelessly tangled in a soccer net Wednesday morning at Pleasant View Soccer Fields.
Wrapping the owl in a towel and wearing special protective gloves, the officers cut around the netting and held it steady while the animal struggled and tried to attack.
"Man, he is strong," one officer said.

The owl was taken to Birds of Prey raptor rehabilitation center in Broomfield, police said. It was unclear if it was injured.
This owl must have been chasing a mouse early this morning at the Pleasant View Soccer Fields. Instead of getting a mouse this owl literally scored a goal and got stuck. A shout out to our own Animal Protection Officers for rescuing this magnificent animal! @boulderparksrec pic.twitter.com/itX6RnaUBT
