Paraglider Injured After More Than 50 Foot Fall In Boulder County
A 27-year-old paraglider was injured after his right wing collapsed and he fell between 50 and 100 feet, officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A 27-year-old paraglider was injured after he fell between 50 and 100 feet near Wonderland Lake Thursday, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said. Rescue crews were called to the popular paragliding area around noon.
Witnesses said they saw the paraglider making a right turn, when his right wing collapsed, and he fell straight to the ground. A nurse was in the area, and she was able to help him until rescue crews arrived.
Boulder Mountain Fire personnel arrived and provided medical care, officials said. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group volunteers then arrived and transported the man 75 feet up to the top of the ridge, then 100 feet down to an ambulance.

The 27-year-old's left arm and ribs were injured, and he had difficulty breathing, officials said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
