Passersby Pull Man From Burning Car In Boulder County
A man crashed his car in an attempt to take his own life Saturday in unincorporated Boulder County, authorities said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A 57-year-old man was injured in a car crash Saturday evening on Colo. 72, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
The man was driving south at about 140 miles per hour and crashed his Porsche in the 47500 block of Colo. 72, according to the sheriff's office. The car went off the road and struck a large tree and a fence and then rolled up a hill.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at about 5:15 p.m. Before they arrived, several people stopped and pulled the man out of the car just before it caught fire, the sheriff's office said.

The man was flown to a hospital, where he was being treated for unknown injuries.

An investigation revealed the man drove off the roadway in an attempt to take his own life, the sheriff's office said.
Colorado State Patrol, Indian Peaks Fire District, North Colorado Med Evac and American Medical Response also responded to the crash.
