Here are the top stories today in Boulder:

  1. Louisville's Red Tail Ridge development hits another snag. Even though it went to a public vote, opponents continue to battle any development on the former Storage Tek site in Louisville. This time, the town's planning board voted against the proposed plan for the final plat of the site. (Hometown Weekly)
  2. Boulder Junction's future a topic of Boulder City Council debate. Boulder is in the throes of the second phase of planning and redevelopment around the Boulder Junction. On Thursday, City Council provided input on the plan. (Yahoo!)
  3. CU will use and share national overdose data. The Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP) tracks drug overdoses in real time across the country. CU signed on to participate in the program and will plug local drug overdose information into the database. (CU Independent)
  4. The CU South plan has had a long, bumpy history, is there a time when the plan becomes a reality? The CU-owned property in South Boulder has long been a point of contention between those that want it to be developed, and those that want it to be permanently preserved as open space. (Reporting Lab)
  5. Colorado's Traction Law is in effect, don't get the $650 ticket. The Traction Law is active between September 1 to May 31, and requires that all vehicles have a minimum tread depth of 3/16 of an inch. The I-70 stretch (between Morrison and Dotsero) is in an 'always activated' state, in hopes of alleviating delays and crashes. (Out There)
