Robot Dog, Firefighter Drones At CU Engineering Expo

The free engineering showcase will feature hands-on demonstrations of 100 projects in space, robotics, smart phone apps and more.

BOULDER, CO -- The public is invited to see more than 100 100 engineering projects in space, robotics, smartphone apps and more as the University of Colorado Engineering Expo shows off the work of student teams April 27 at the Coors Event Center of the CU Boulder campus from 3 - 5 p.m.

Visitors can see hands-on demonstrations of new technologies—including Rover, a robotic dog that provides comfort to people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The expo is a showcase for the work of seniors and graduate students in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, working with industry partners like Lockheed Martin and Children’s Hospital Colorado. Prizes will be awarded for the best projects in several categories.
