Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Metro Denver, Boulder
The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert for the Front Range. A flash flood warning is in effect until 7 p.m.
DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Denver's metro area and Boulder. The warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. Friday, and a flash flood warning for metro Denver is in effect until 7 p.m.
Wind gusts of up to 70 mph could hit some Front Range regions, weather officials said.
"The main threats will be damaging thunderstorm winds to 70 mph, and large hail up to golfball size," the weather alert reads. "Enough shear will be present for a weak tornado or two, especially across the Palmer Divide."

The thunderstorm watch has been issued for many Colorado counties, including Denver, Boulder, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson and Broomfield counties.
