Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Metro Denver, Boulder

The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert for the Front Range.

DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Denver's metro area and Boulder. The warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Wind gusts of up to 70 mph could hit some Front Range regions, weather officials said.

"The storms will spread east across the Urban Corridor and eastern plains late this afternoon and evening," the weather alert reads.

The thunderstorm watch has been issued for many Colorado counties, including Denver, Boulder, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson and Broomfield counties.
