Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Metro Denver, Boulder
The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert for the Front Range.
DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Denver's metro area and Boulder. The warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Wind gusts of up to 70 mph could hit some Front Range regions, weather officials said.
"Scattered thunderstorms will develop by early afternoon in the foothills and along the I-25 corridor. These storms will then move east southeast across the plains by late afternoon into the early evening hours," the weather alert reads.

"A few severe thunderstorms will occur and may produce hail up to 2 inches in diameter along with wind gusts to 70 mph."

The thunderstorm watch has been issued for 16 Colorado counties, including Denver, Boulder, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson and Broomfield counties.
