- Downtown restaurant workers stage protest, announce plan to form union. Several workers at Ash'Kara restaurant were fired and afterward, employees decided it was high time to get organized – because they'd had enough of the phony fair wage fee the restaurant was charging its customers, as well as poor working conditions. - Boulder's Butterfly Effect Theatre founders calling it quits. After 17 years of theater performances in Boulder, the founders of BETC are wrapping up their current season with "The Royale," but it may also be the final curtain call for the theater company. (Gazette)
- Southwest continues to cut more flights and social media explodes. The meltdown of Southwest this week has become a public relations disaster for the airline. The beleaguered airline has been getting a beating on social media – with countless posts on all the top social media sites that have been full of images and videos of holiday traveler's experiences. - Boulder Sheriff says investigation into Marshall Fire will show multiple ignition points. Sheriff Pelle announced that his investigation into what caused last year's destructive wildfire is almost complete, and could be released within the next few weeks. (9News)
