Southern Hills Middle School Students Return After Evacuation
Students are now returning to the middle school after a fire was reported in the school's gym, Boulder Valley School District confirmed.
BOULDER, CO — Southern Hills Middle School students are now returning after an evacuation has ended, the Boulder Valley School District said in a tweet Thursday morning. District officials received a report that a broke out in the school's gym.
Students were evacuated to Fairview High School's gym until fire crews were able to inspect the middle-school's gym.
"Fire crews report Southern Hills has been cleared for students to return," the district said in a tweet around 11:45 a.m. "Students will be returning to the school from Fairview momentarily."
