Staffordshire Terrier In A Pipe: Boulder Firefighters free dog
Chello tumbled down a retention pond pipe while on a walk. Boulder firefighters pulled her out

BOULDER, CO -- The Boulder Sheriff's office tweeted photos from a dramatic rescue Friday of a dog who fell into a retention pond pipe at the end of a pier.
Cello, the two-year-old American Staffordshire terrier, was on a walk with her owner along the dock near the pond off South Boulder Road and east of Cherryvale Road. The pipe is typically covered, but somehow the wind blew off the lid, Carrie Haverfield, spokeswoman for the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, told the Daily Camer.
Chello tumbled about 12 feet down into the pipe, but luckily was wearing a harness, which helped firefighters rescue her.

"They were able to lower a pole with a rope on it and somehow rig it up where they were able to get a rope around the belly of the dog and hoist it out of the hole," Haverfield said.
