Hey, friends! It's Monday in Boulder and I'm back in your inbox to get you caught up on the most important things happening locally. Here we go...

Monday's weather: Times of clouds and sun. High: 82 Low: 61.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Boulder who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Boulder Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top stories today in Boulder:

  1. Voters will decide fate of statewide affordable housing bill. If passed, the Make Colorado Affordable bill will require the State of Colorado to spend around $270M in the first year on affordable housing. (CPR)
  2. CU WelcomeFest canceled for third year in a row. For the past two years, the big party planned for returning students was canceled because of COVID-19– this year, it was the weather that damaged equipment needed for the show. (CU Independent)
  3. CU Police Department includes victim advocate on a variety of calls for service. Police aren't always equipped for every situation they encounter, so on some calls, victim advocates ride along and increase support for survivors. (9News.)
  4. Climber survives 35 foot fall in Eldorado Springs. A 29-year-old male was injured on Saturday after he fell while climbing near the Yellow Spur. The climber hit the ground after his safety equipment pulled out of the rock. (BOCO Sheriff)
  5. Boulder's buskers still surviving after all these years. Some of the Pearl Street Mall's entertainers have been performing since the mall opened 45 years ago. (CO Daily)
