BOULDER, CO -- A patient at a Boulder hospital allegedly tried to strangle a nurse with her own stethoscope and left her briefly unconscious Tuesday, Boulder police said. Jessee Owen Williams, 31, was charged with second-degree assault and criminal mischief after the incident, which took place at Foothills Hospital.
Police said the unidentified nurse told Williams he was going to be transferred to a different facility, and he attacked her. She lost consciousness during the incident, but was later treated at the hospital and released, police said.
Williams is being held in the Boulder County Jail on $1,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Friday.
