Teen Rescued After Fall Off First Flatiron
A tourist lost his footing and fell 30 feet while rock climbing, officials said.

BOULDER, CO – A teen tourist was rescued by Boulder County emergency workers after falling about 30 feet while rock climbing Tuesday.
The 17-year-old male "lost his footing" while climbing on the First Flatiron, the Boulder County Sheriff's office said in a press release. Around 7:07 p.m., emergency responders received a call that he had fallen. The climber was visiting his sister in Boulder from Saudi Arabia, the sheriff's office said.
Emergency crews from Boulder County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services, Boulder Fire, Boulder City Parks & Open Space, Rocky Mountain Rescue and American Medical Response Ambulance responded to the park at 101 Bluebell Road. Staffers from Rocky Mountain Rescue slowly carried the boy out. He was found to have minor injuries and taken to a local hospital, the sheriff's statement said.
