Thunderstorms, Hail Pelt Boulder
NWS predicted hail and 50 mph winds would rush through Boulder County, as well as Firestone, Mead and north to Johnstown.

BOULDER COUNTY – Expect severe thunderstorms this evening in Boulder, Longmont and Lafayette until at least 7 p.m., the National Weather Service announced. storms that were supposed to have blown through shortly after 6 p.m. were lingering.
Winds up to 50 miles per hour were predicted, as well as quarter-sized hail in a patch that covered Johnstown, Mead, Firestone and also Niwot and parts east.
Neighborhoods near Coal Creek in Louisville reported smashed vehicle windshields and dents, skylights broken, and a satellite dish damaged, NWS said.

By 9 p.m., the NWS said hail-stones were "tennis ball sized now" and the storm had moved east to Barr Lake and Brighton. "Take cover in the path of this storm!" NWS tweeted.
