  1. City of Boulder making progress on core transportation network program. Six months after Boulder City Council demanded action from the city's transportation department, the city claims that it's making progress on implementing the plans laid out in the city's transportation master plan, that will reduce crashes and increase mobility options.   2. Boulder County needs to take action on racial inequities. A recent study of Boulder County's courts, includes data that shows a disproportionate number of incarcerations among Black, Hispanic and unhoused individuals across the county. (CO Newsline)
  3. Remembering the Big Thompson flood. On July 29, 1976, the skies opened up and caused one of Colorado's most devastating flash floods. 144 people were killed and the Big Thompson flood is still considered to be one of Colorado's most deadly floods. (7News)
  4. Boulder Ballet getting new artistic director. An award winning choreographer will be taking over the reigns at Boulder Ballet. Ben Needham-Wood, the new artistic director for the ballet company, is relocating to Colorado from San Francisco. (CO Daily)

  • Documentary film festival returns to Boulder: The Mimesis Documentary Festival includes movies, workshops with artists, producers and scholars from around the globe. Aug. 2-7. (CU Arts and Sciences Magazine)
