Vehicle Plunges Into James Creek In Boulder County

A woman was hospitalized after her vehicle was found submerged in the water, Boulder County officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A vehicle crashed into James Creek Tuesday in unincorporated Boulder County. A woman was hospitalized after rescue personnel found her partially submerged in the water, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Rescue crews were called to the creek around 7:15 a.m. When they arrived, they found an overturned vehicle in the creek and began providing aid to the woman inside while awaiting additional resources, the sheriff's office said.

The woman was taken to a metro area hospital. The severity of her injuries is unknown, officials said.

American Medical Response, Boulder Emergency Squad, Lefthand Fire Protection District and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group also assisted with the rescue.
