Wednesday Smoke, Pollution Forecast For Metro Denver, Boulder
Public health officials have released a pollution forecast for the Front Range.

Smoke is continuing to flow into the Front Range from the Cameron Peak and Mullen wildfires, but the heaviest smoke will hit Larimer and Weld counties Wednesday, public health officials said.
Fine particulate matter concentrations from the smoke are expected to be in the 'moderate' to 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' categories on Wednesday in Denver's metro area and Boulder, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
"For locations in Larimer and Weld counties, including Ft. Collins and Greeley, people with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion on Tuesday and Wednesday," the agency said in an air quality advisory.

"For all other parts of the Front Range including Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs, unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion on Tuesday and Wednesday, and be prepared to take further action if wildfire smoke quickly increases in your area."
Visibility along the Front Range is expected to be in the 'poor' category Wednesday, public health officials said.

Ozone concentrations in metro Denver and Boulder are expected to be in the 'good' to 'moderate' categories.

Carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide levels will remain in the 'good' category on Wednesday, health officials said.
