  1. 55th Street development proposal hearing continued. Boulder City Council is considering amending the affordable requirements of a housing project near Flatirons Golf Course. The developer wants to pay an in-lieu fee for the required affordable housing, and build for-sale units on the site instead – a move that city staff supports. (Yahoo)
  2. Where should Boulder's poor be allowed to live? Boulder's faced with the perplexing question of where affordable housing should be built, and Boulder County weighs in on what counts as a "home." (Boulder Beat)
  3. Car theft ring busted. The crime spree began in February 2021, and included theft of cars and guns–mostly to fuel the group's heroin, meth and fentanyl habits – all the while living in stolen camping trailers. Police have arrested 10 of the 11 suspects, which, according to the Denver District Attorney's office, have all been charged with auto theft and organized crime. (Herald Sun)
  4. The Cashback bill gets signed. That means all Colorado taxpayers will receive up to $500 later this year. Gov. Jared Polis signed the bill Monday that will issue tax refunds to most Colorado taxpayers this summer instead of having to wait until next year when they file their taxes. Those that file jointly should get an estimated $1,000. (FOX31)
  5. Witnesses hear 'strange noises' before impact in Broomfield plane crash. New details have emerged after a plane crash Sunday in Broomfield killed two people. (Patch)
