  1. Former Boulder Mayor, Will Toor and his wife, survive 1,000 foot fall in Rocky Mountain National Park. On July 10, Toor and his wife, Mariella Colvin, fell nearly 1,000 vertical feet. Toor had a broken femur. Colvin, 59, had nine broken ribs, fractured vertebrae and a broken sternum and were airlifted by helicopter to a hospital. (CO Sun)
  2. Challenge to Rocky Flats refuge trail system falls flat. Group sought to limit access to the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge that opened in 2018 and included public access around the site of the former nuclear bomb trigger factory. (Courthouse News)
  3. Months-long investigation nets four arrests, 65 felony charges. The Boulder County Drug Task Force worked for six months uncovering a scheme that allowed meth and ketamine to be snuck into the Boulder County Jail. (7News)
  4. New Ziggi's coffee launches new location in Lafayette. The first Ziggi's franchise in Lafayette opened up at 2396 Balmstone Drive near the Good Samaritan Medical Center. The location includes a walk-in space as well as a drive thru. (BizWest)
  5. Should 'magic' mushrooms be decriminalized in Colorado? Backers of Initiative 58 have turned in enough signatures to get the measure on the upcoming ballot this November. If passed, Colorado will be only the second state in the U.S. to decriminalize them. (CO Sun)
