Wind Chill Advisory Continues For Front Range

"The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes," weather officials said in an alert.

The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for Denver's metro area and Boulder. A wind chill advisory will be in effect until 11 a.m. Monday.

Wind chills could reach as low as minus 25, the agency said.

"The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes," the wind chill advisory read. "Frostbite and hypothermia are possible if precautions are not taken."

Weather officials are asking people to make sure they have extra warm clothing and food in their vehicles if they're heading into the mountains.

Temperatures are expected to warm after 11 a.m. Monday, weather officials said.
