Woman Dies In Boulder Trailer Park: Husband Charged

BOULDER, CO – The husband of a 44-year-old woman found unresponsive in a north Boulder trailer park's laundry room is accused of killing her.

Scott Beaumont Jones, 47, was arrested Tuesday by Boulder Sheriff's deputies and charged with the murder of his wife, identified by the Boulder County Coroner's Office as Deborah Depinto.

Emergency responders were called around 8 p.m. Monday night to Ponderosa Mobile Home Park at 4475 N. Broadway in North Boulder on a report of an unconscious woman who was not breathing. Rescuers found the woman in the laundry room of the mobile home park with "CPR already in progress," the sheriff's office said. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Sheriff's detectives "became suspicious of the circumstances" surrounding Depinto's death, the sheriff's office said in a statement. Based on the on-scene investigation, interviews of witnesses, and evidence collected, Jones was arrested and charged with domestic violence-related second-degree murder for his role in her death.

The couple, along with their two children, ages 11 and 13, had been temporarily staying in a travel-style trailer at the park and lived in the mountains of Western Boulder County, the sheriff's office said. The couple's children are currently in custody of Boulder County's Health and Human Services Department.

Jones is in-custody at the Boulder County Jail, without bond, and will likely make his first court appearance at the jail on June 20 the sheriff's office said.

The case is still under investigation and the manner of death another details are not yet being released, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
