Woman Sexually Assaulted On Trail Near Boulder

Investigators are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on the Walker Ranch Loop trail, Boulder officials said.

BOULDER, CO — A woman was sexually assaulted Tuesday afternoon while she was hiking on the Walker Ranch Loop trail, officials said. Deputies are searching for the suspect.

The woman was hiking alone on the trail, near 7701 Flagstaff Road, when a man approached her and "assaulted her by force," Boulder County officials said.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his 40s, and "tall and thin, yet muscular," investigators said. He was bald and wore a mask during the assault.
