Broomfield Collision With Power Line Causes Fire, Outages, Closures On 144 - Sheridan

July 21, 2020

A dump truck’s raised bed hit overhead power just south of Dillon Road and west of Sheridan Boulevard causing power and internet outages and road closures on 144th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. The driver of the dump truck was able to get out of the truck and is uninjured, the truck was destroyed. North Metro Fire, Xcel Energy and Broomfield Police are on the scene.

Both directions of 144th Avenue are closed from Sheridan Boulevard to Aspen Street. Please use alternate routes.
