Broomfield Named Among Best Cities To Live In Colorado

A new report names the most liveable cities in the state.

BROOMFIELD, CO — Broomfield is the sixth best city to live in Colorado, according to a Chamber of Commerce report. The city came in behind Parker and ahead of Castle Rock.

The report analyzed data from cities with populations over 25,000.

Five factors were taken into consideration employment (number of establishments, median earnings); housing (owner-occupied housing with a mortgage, monthly housing costs); quality of life (work commute, poverty levels); education (percentage with a bachelor’s degree or higher); and health (obesity ratios).

Colorado's largest city, Denver, came in at No. 4, and Louisville in Boulder County topped the list.

"Consistently ranked among the finest communities in the country, Louisville is a pleasant suburb with an ice rink and two of the oldest bars in the state," the Chamber of Commerce report read.

Lafayette and Longmont were ranked second and third, respectively. The report noted that both cities had a high median income above the national average.
