Chapter 5-20 of the Broomfield Municipal Code requires all individuals to obtain a solicitor’s license through the City Clerk’s office before soliciting in Broomfield. The City Clerk issues solicitors a badge that must be displayed that will say “Licensed Solicitor” and it will contain their name, address, and license number.

If a resident does not want solicitors at their home, a sign with the words “no solicitors” or “no soliciting” needs to be conspicuously displayed at the individual’s residence. Additionally, solicitation is not permitted before 9:00 am or after 9:00 pm.

Please note that the signage requirement is for each individual residence. If an HOA or neighborhood posts a “no solicitation” sign for the area, solicitors are still allowed to solicit. Solicitors are required to comply with all current public health orders.

If a solicitor is in violation of the code requirements, please contact non-emergency dispatch at 303.438.6400.
