Broomfield Youth Counselor Accused Of Teen Sexual Assault

A 29-year-old woman who worked with troubled youth inmates is accused of a six-month sexual relationship with a client, age 16.

BRIGHTON, CO – A 29-year-old counselor for juvenile inmates in Adams County was accused Friday of sexually assaulting a minor while she worked at the Adams County Youth Services Center in Brighton.

Michelle Theresa Sarillo, of Broomfield, was charged with two felony counts of sexual assault on a child. Sarillo allegedly had a six-month sexual relationship with a male inmate, age 16, at the juvenile facility between Sept. 2015 and Feb. 2016, a statement from the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office said.

Sarillo was charged Friday in Adams County court. She was released on $20,000 bond. Her next hearing is scheduled for July 24.
