Car, Credit Cards Lifted From Broomfield Rec Center

An unknown woman allegedly bought a day pass and then stole a gym-goer's car and made purchases with stolen credit cards.

BROOMFIELD, CO -- A woman, caught on video, allegedly drove off in someone else's minivan from the Broomfield Rec Center and later racked up expenses on the car-owner's credit card, Broomfield police said.

It happened on Jan. 24 at the Paul Derda Recreation Center in the 13200 Block of Lowell Boulevard, police said. The woman, with a blonde ponytail, wearing a light-blue coat and carrying a pink gym bag bought a one-day pass and entered the rec center. Police said video showed her leaving 15 minutes later, where she allegedly stole a black Honda Odyssey belonging to another patron and later used the credit cards found in the van to illegally buy things at local stores, police said on Facebook.

Anyone recognizing the woman should contact Detective Jennifer King-Sullivan at 303.438.6461 or jking-sullivan@broomfield.org, police said.
