Since Broomfield’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza typically draws hundreds of people, the City and County of Broomfield will likely not be able to host the event this year as that number exceeds state COVID-19 restrictions. Instead, Broomfield will host a Roll-Thru event so families can visit with the Easter Bunny and receive holiday treats from the safety of their personal vehicle!
Broomfield looks forward to hosting families in a COVID-friendly way again this year. Visit Broomfield.org/Easter to see updates in the coming weeks.

Want to host your own Easter celebration? Remember that personal gatherings are restricted to 10 people from no more than two households, under Colorado’s Public Health Order. If people are interested in hosting an “organized” event, visit Broomfield.org/CODialCapacities to review capacity limits for indoor and outdoor events.
If events are held on City and County of Broomfield property, a permit is required through B-REx.com under “Reserve” and those hosting are required to follow the state’s guidance on outdoor events. If you host the event indoors, follow the guidance on indoor events.
Remember, if you are outdoors and unable to maintain 6-feet of distance from other households, it’s important to wear a mask to stop the spread of the virus!
Some tips for egg hunts/Easter celebrations:
- Outdoor activities are safer than indoor activities!
- Bring hand sanitizer and wipes to disinfect shared surfaces.
- Consider spacing out treats to avoid children crowding a small space.
