Current Dial Level: Broomfield remains in “Level Yellow: Concern” until all three metrics in the Dial framework are within “Level Blue: Caution” levels for seven days or more. View where Broomfield is and needs to be on the updated Dial to move at Broomfield.org/COVIDData.  

Back to Business Certified Businesses: Broomfield’s 49 Back To Business certified businesses can continue to operate at “Level Blue: Caution” restrictions/capacities.

  • Gyms/Restaurants: certified Back to Business gyms, fitness centers and recreation centers, as well as restaurants and breweries are allowed to operate at 100% capacity, with 6 foot distancing between households required.
    • Broomfield Recreation Centers: As Back to Business Certified business, Broomfield’s two recreation centers, the Paul Derda Recreation Center and the Broomfield Community Center, will increase operational capacity starting on April 5. Residents can make appointments for classes (including “drop-in” fitness classes), programs and pool access at B-REx.com. Starting April 5, the cardio/weight rooms and gymnasiums will be available for drop-in use without an appointment.
  • Outdoor Events: If you are Back to Business certified to operate in “Level Blue: Caution,” there are no capacity restrictions for outdoor events under the state guidance. 
  • Indoor events: Back to Business certified businesses may operate indoor events at 50% capacity, not to exceed 225 people seated/175 unseated. 
  • Bars: If you are back to business certified to operate in Level Blue, bars can now open. The capacity limit is 25% capacity or 75 people, whichever is fewer.
  • Retail, offices, and non-critical manufacturing: that are Back to Business certified to operate in Level Blue may now open to 75% capacity (up from 50%).

Personal Gatherings: There are no longer personal gathering restrictions under Broomfield current designation on the Dial, “Level Yellow: Concern,” in the Dial 3.0. 

  • Please continue to practice preventative measures and follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance for gathering if you are vaccinated. The CDC states that fully vaccinated people can:
    • Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
    • Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing

  • The CDC still strongly recommends avoiding large gatherings for all people.
