Family Escapes Broomfield House Fire
No injuries were reported in a fire that started in a back yard Wednesday.

BROOMFIELD, CO – Family members escaped unharmed from a house fire near 119th Place and Colmans Way Wednesday. Two adults and three children escaped to safety after the fire started in the backyard then and spread to the family home, where the house was significantly damaged, the North Metro Fire Department said. "Electrical wires outside" the home were blamed for the accidental blaze, the fire department tweeted, adding that "[t]he house is uninhabitable." Westminster and Thornton Fire Departments assisted with the blaze.
Local Walgreens employees brought water and food to the family on the scene, North Metro said.
