Incremental Water And Sewer Rate Increases In Broomfield

This approach helps limit the burden on residents to a minimal increase over time, as opposed to a larger lump-sum increase all-at-once.

December 9, 2020

In an effort to minimally impact customers, the City and County of Broomfield proposes incremental water and sewer rate increases every few years to account for rising operational costs. This approach helps limit the burden on residents to a minimal increase over time, as opposed to a larger lump-sum increase all-at-once. As part of this standard, proactive approach, City Council will consider a 2.5% in water and 2.0% sewer utility service charge increase on December 10. For the average residential customer, monthly water charges will increase by $1.35 and sewer charges by $0.42 per month. You can read the full memo at https://bit.ly/2KdUOJS.
