Moose Spotted Wandering Around Broomfield

A young moose was relocated to Park County, wildlife officials said.

BROOMFIELD, CO — A young moose who was seen in Broomfield Sunday has been relocated, authorities said. The moose was spotted near the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, then on Monday he was found in Westminster.

The moose was seen near Edgeview Drive in Broomfield, and then "wandered away and settled down for the night," Broomfield police said. The animal was relocated from an area near 104th Avenue in Westminster the next day.

The moose was tranquilized and moved into the mountains in Park County, where temperatures are much cooler. During its relocation, the bull moose was sprayed with water to help him cool off.
