Outdoor Passport Launched In Broomfield
Families are encouraged to earn 100 points and complete the popular challenge.
BROOMFIELD, CO — The City and County of Broomfield is encouraging residents to explore their region's extensive trail system with this year's outdoor passport, which will be issued this Saturday. Based on a points system, the passport challenges families to partake in fun activities, such as catching a grasshopper, building a leaf boat and constructing a fairy house.
The 2019 Broomfield 100 Outdoor Passport promotes outdoor exercise, healthy living and wildlife education.
"To complete an item, it is not necessary to cover the entire mileage of a trail, but rather to visit the site, learn the trail connections, and enjoy the area!" Broomfield officials said in a statement.
