Bear Spotted In Anthem Highlands Found, Relocated
A bear that was spotted in several Broomfield locations has been tranquilized and relocated, police said.

BROOMFIELD, CO — A bear that was seen wandering around the Anthem Highlands Monday has been found. The Broomfield Police Department received many calls Monday morning about the bear wandering in several local neighborhoods. The first call, which came in at about 6:20 a.m., reported that the bear was wandering in Anthem Highlands.
Then a few hours later, the bear was spotted near Indian Peaks Parkway and Lowell Boulevard, police said.
Police posted photos of the bear, which were taken near the Chesapeake and Cosby intersection.

The bear was reportedly swimming in local ponds, according to a tweet.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were able to locate and tranquilize the bear, police said. It will be relocated back into the wild.

Anyone who spots a bear is asked to call the non-emergency police dispatch line at 303-438-6400.
