30th Street Between Fontanero And King Streets In Colorado Springs To Temporarily Close Beginning Wednesday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – 30th Street between Fontanero and King streets will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Jan. 6 for concrete work funded by ballot issue 2C. Work will take place for approximately four weeks, weather and resources dependent. Access to Garden of the Gods Park, the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center and residences along the corridor will be maintained throughout construction. Detours will be in place. Concrete work will be conducted in phases moving south along 30th Street from Fontanero Street to King Street. A second phase of concrete work will take place between King Street and Colorado Avenue later this year.
This concrete work is taking place in advance of the 30th Street widening project from Fontanero St to Mesa Rd., scheduled to begin later this year. Visit ColoradoSprings.gov/30thStreet for more information.
